"People are very good at masking their pain, but if you listen carefully, often times you pick up on subtle cues that something is off. Having lost someone important in my life to suicide, I no longer hesitate to reach out when I know a family member or friend is feeling vulnerable or down. Just listening can be the very thing that gives someone hope and makes them feel less isolated. Thank you, Hallie, for showing us the power of our shared humanity. The more we talk, the more we heal." -SW
